“It is the relationship that heals”

— Irvin Yalom

About me

Having been through my own counselling journey, as a way to help myself navigate life through difficult circumstances and adverse life experiences, I have come to realise how important it is to have a trusted and safe professional with whom you can share anything that is troubling you or keeping you stuck in unhelpful patterns of thinking, behaviour or relating. It is my own positive experience of having had counselling that inspired me to train in the field and to develop the passion for helping people feel accepted and empowered in finding their own way forward.

I believe that healing and growth can take place within a trusting, warm, and accepting relationship which is free of judgement and full of empathy and compassion. I am committed to offering this type of relationship to all my clients with the aim to help them accept themselves and to grow in their own unique way,

About counselling

Counselling is a type of talking therapy, offered in a safe, confidential space in which you can explore all your thoughts, feelings, and anything that concerns you or causing you distress. It is a type of therapy offered in a non-judgemental environment, in which you can examine all your past and present experiences, emotions, and patterns of behaviour, and in which you can make sense of your situation and gradually find your own answers.

As a qualified counsellor, I am committed to offering this kind of safe, warm space in which you can explore all your feelings and experiences and in which you can gain self-awareness and a better understanding of how you relate to yourself and to others. This awareness can enable you to feel more empowered and secure within yourself; it can also facilitate you in living a more satisfying and meaningful life.

“We think we listen, but very rarely do we listen with real understanding, true empathy. Yet listening, of this very special kind, is one of the most potent forces for change that I know”

— Carl Rogers
